Ficus Decora ‘Burgundy’ (commonly called Rubber Plant Burgundy) is a bold, elegant houseplant known for its dramatic dark foliage. It is a variety of Ficus elastica, belonging to the Moraceae family.
🌿 General Appearance
Leaves: Large, glossy, oval-shaped leaves that are deep burgundy to almost black with a subtle sheen. New growth often emerges with a reddish tint before maturing into dark leaves.
Growth Habit: Upright and bushy, with strong woody stems.
Size: Can grow 3–6 feet indoors (and much taller outdoors in tropical climates).
🌱 Growing Conditions
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light, though it can tolerate medium light. Too little light will reduce its rich burgundy color.

Soil: Well-draining mix with peat, perlite, or sand.
Temperature & Humidity: Thrives in normal indoor temperatures; appreciates moderate humidity.
